TRAINING DAY

Kumeu Trotting Club (use electric gates off Boord Cres.)
12pm start. $5 per person. Food/drink will be available.

Learn some tips and tricks on topics such as clipping, ringcraft, show grooming, show halter selection and fitting, training your horse for halter classes, make-up application, showmanship etc. We will also be showing you how to start your horse for performance classes, covering mouthing and longreining for harness, jumping and trail/obstacle. During the Training Day we will also hold a few mock halter classes, and have obstacles/jumps out so you can practice with your horse (yes, bring them along!).

This is always a great day to bring youngstock to, get them socialised and used to a show environment - also good for you experienced showies to brush up on a few skills that may have gotten rusty in the off season. And, as always, this is a perfect chance to catch up with the people you haven't seen all winter.

Members are welcome to bring along items for sale, and trade stalls will be $20 - there are areas under cover, so your merchandise will be safe should it rain.
